Sophie Cockerill

Please meet Sophie Cockerill, care coordinator for Radfield Home Care Loughborough, Charnwood & Melton Mowbray.

Sophie joined Radfield with valuable care experience that she gained in a range of settings, including a care home as well as a hospital, she is a real asset to the team. Sophie describes her journey in the care sector:

“I have always been involved with care from the age of 17, my first job was working in a care home and I did this for 4 years. I then went on to be a support worker for adults who have learning disabilities. I have dealt with various health issues with that job. I also have a younger brother who was born with learning disabilities and is in full time residential care, so I have an idea of how people want to be treated in their own home and how distressing it can be having a stranger in their home. I love working and helping the older generation. I have experience in dementia, stoma bags, mental health and hearing loss with GCSE and A-levels in health and social care.”
