We would like to introduce you to Jasmin Fletcher, Recruitment Officer at Radfield Home Care Wakefield and Huddersfield. Jasmin is responsible for recruiting our care team. She ensures that all potential Care Professionals are of the highest quality and suited for the role and provides a smooth onboarding process for them. She manages all aspects of administration of the on-boarding process as well as implementing innovative reward and recognition programmes, engaging with local community partners and attending events to support recruitment campaigns.
Jasmin comes from a very strong recruitment background, with over a decade in the industry. Jasmin explains:
“I have worked in recruitment and talent acquisition for the entirety of my career; for over 13 years now. Straight from college I joined a small, family-run recruitment agency who hired ‘blue-collar’ workers for the engineering and manufacturing industries across the Yorkshire region. I then moved into a more professional recruitment consultancy and subsequently joined another recruitment consultancy in the heart of Sheffield – this time in Technology/ IT.
After a career break, I joined a business back in Sheffield where I reported to the Chief People Officer. My role was to manage all recruitment for five (very different!) organisations, implement and improve processes and systems and professionalise (and standardise!) the recruitment and selection capability. One of the contracts in my earlier career was within Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) in Wakefield. There was, at the time, a national shortage of 600 paramedics, and my role was to hire people into YAS.”
Jasmin is clear how her fantastic experience with the care sector will be of direct benefit to Radfield’s clients and care professionals, as she details:
“I have always worked in recruitment and have worked with people from all walks of life across a variety of industries; from apprentice and graduate level through to C-suite. I have experience in, and love, bringing people through the hiring process and into the induction and on-boarding stages of their new role and career! I love speaking with and connecting with people, and genuinely care about the enjoyment people get from working in a job that they love. I see my role as a supportive role, and love getting stuck in and involved in new and different areas of business operations. I’m excited to take on hiring for Wakefield & Huddersfield, work with the wonderful people here in the office and out on the road, and hire some more amazing people!
On meeting with the directors, Gemma and Mark, during my interview, my passion for Radfield Home Care grew because of seeing the level of kindness, care and warmth that the people at Radfield emanate. I know that caring is not an easy job, but if I can be of support and help to our Carers and office team in any way I can, to make all of our daily-working lives more enjoyable and rewarding, then that is what I want to do!
