We would like to introduce you to Rebecca Leonard, office administrator for Radfield Home Care Colchester, Frinton and Clacton.
Rebecca is an experienced and committed member of the care sector as she explains:
“I worked for the charity retail sector for several years, beginning as a volunteer shop assistant for Sue Ryder Care at the age of 16, before going on to manage both Oxfam and Arthur Rank Hospice Stores after completing my undergraduate degree (in Philosophy) in 2015. More recently, I have worked part time roles as assistant shop manager for St Helena Hospice and a weekend receptionist for a care home whilst completing my Masters in Philosophy. Whilst working as a weekend receptionist, the vast majority of my job was welcoming the families of loved ones, and helping them with any enquiries. This role gave me an insight of how important quality care is not only for the individual being cared for, but also for their loved ones.
In my previous roles I have seen first hand what a difference good care makes not only to those receiving it but also to their loved ones. I truly believe in the importance of not only living well, but dying well. I am also passionate about the importance of treating those who receive care as individuals.
I will be the first person that many of those enquiring about care will speak to. I will be there to listen to and support each client with their initial enquiry, helping them take the first steps in their care journey. Having worked in customer service roles for the past sixteen years, I am friendly and approachable.”
