Pip Houghton

We would like to introduce you to Pip Houghton, office administrator for Radfield Home Care Colchester, Frinton and Clacton.

Having worked in both the care sector and customer facing roles, Pip brings a fantastic mix of valuable business and care experience to Radfield as she explains:

“I worked in the events conference and media industry working in business development for most of my working life before in more recent years taking a role in the Health and Social Care Sector, where I gained experience both out in the community as a community care assistant and in a hospital setting working as part of a ward led reablement team.

I bring many transferable skills to Radfield Home Care using my knowledge and experience in business development to raise company profile and assist with recruitment and selecting the best people to deliver an excellent quality of care. My time in the community and on the ward has given me a great insight into what is required from our team. After experiencing close family loss and seeing the difference quality care makes to the lives of patients and their families I feel my experience and the role I will be playing will assist to ensure the best possible service to a client or patient.

I have completed my Care Certificate and taken other courses on dementia care, catheter care, stoma care, body mapping safeguarding, administering medication to name a few. I have also been responsible for representing companies at various exhibitions and conferences around the UK, Europe and the USA, where my customer facing and business development skills were necessary for the smooth running of events.”
