Live in care

We are here to discuss your exclusive live in care needs.

What is live in care?

Live in care from Radfield Home Care is a service that involves a trained Care Professional living with a client to support them in the comfort of their home, helping them remain connected to what matters most.

With over 40 years of experience in delivering high-quality domiciliary care across England, we have leveraged this expertise in regulated care to deliver a consistent, top-quality live-in service.

Our live-in service isn’t age-restricted and caters to those who require light or more intensive support, ensuring individuals can retain their independence while receiving the help they need. We understand that everyone’s needs are unique, which is why we provide tailored care plans created with input from our clients, their loved ones, and health professionals. Each Radfield live in carer is a well-trained Care Professional, equipped to handle all care situations and follow tailored care plans for individuals or couples.

Personalised attention and care

No two live in care packages are the same. Our care teams create a bespoke care plan with the client, family and healthcare professionals. Care plans are entirely customised and can provide support for individuals or couples.

From there, our dedicated, empathetic Care Professionals follow this plan to deliver one-on-one care that is tailored to your routines, preferences and needs. Due to the consistency of a live in carer package, you are able to develop a familiarity with our friendly and highly skilled Care Professionals while maintaining those important connections in life.

Comfort, familiarity, and flexibility

With live in care, you can continue to live in your own home and maintain your usual routine, with your memories and familiar surroundings. Receiving care at home also allows people to retain access to important aspects of their home, such as their pets or garden.

This helps to reduce feelings of stress and anxiety, promoting a sense of comfort and security. For people living with dementia or similar conditions, this familiarity can be extremely helpful.

Live-in service compared to care home living provides much more flexibility for family and routines. Meal times and personal schedules do not need to fit around Care Professional availability, as support is available when it is needed. With more flexible routines and lifestyles, there is less strain put on family relationships, improving personal bonds with the people who matter most in life.

Safety and support

Our Care Professionals are highly-trained and compassionate champions of care, dedicated to providing quality care and support. At Radfield, we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring our care is safe and responsive to your unique requirements.

Each of our bespoke care plans is managed by the local office and is delivered by our Care Professionals. This removes the obstacle of sourcing self-employed live in care staff and provides the reassurance that your plan is being managed by an experienced team.

Independence and dignity at home

Connections to friends, family members, lifestyle interests and the local community are all important for a person to retain their sense of self and identity. Live in care, allows you to maintain your independence and dignity, as our expert Care Professionals are able to help assist with daily tasks. This helps to promote a sense of wellbeing and empowerment.

Cost-effective

Compared to other long-term care options, live in care can often be more cost-effective, as it eliminates the need for multiple care visits or moving to a care facility. The cost of live in care is comparable to that of residential care home costs but also provides the advantages of remaining connected to your home and local community.

Live-in care offers better value for money compared to residential care homes as it provides individualised support in the comfort of your own home. In contrast, care homes may have a team of 20 staff members supporting up to 40 residents.

Companionship care and social engagement

At Radfield Home Care, we take the time to understand individual preferences, hobbies, and social needs, creating personalised plans that include activities such as enjoying a favourite hobby, going for walks, or attending local community events. For those who cherish their pets or love spending time in their garden, our Care Professionals are there to help clients maintain these important aspects of their lives. By nurturing these connections, we aim to enhance mental and emotional well being, providing a sense of normalcy and joy in day-to-day life. Whether through daily routines or spontaneous activities, our team is dedicated to keeping clients engaged and connected, ensuring they continue to lead fulfilling lives within the comfort of their own homes.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care with live in packages

Our live-in care packages for people living with dementia and Alzheimer’s are designed to provide specialised, compassionate support that empowers people to remain in the familiar surroundings of their own homes. Our Care Professionals are extensively trained in dementia care, utilising person-centred practices to manage symptoms, reduce anxiety, and promote well being. Tailored care plans are crafted to meet the unique needs of each individual, ensuring routines are consistent and comforting. By fostering meaningful connections and engaging people in activities that stimulate cognitive function, we strive to enhance their quality of life, maintaining a sense of normalcy and dignity.
