Radfield Home Care Stamford, Peterborough & Rutland has been crowned the winner of the Mercury Business Awards’ Best New Startup.
Owned and operated by husband and wife team, James and Stefania Beech, the home care business was launched in 2019 to deliver domiciliary care and support to older people in their local community. Since then, despite the challenges presented by Covid-19, they have continued to expand; delivering care to dozens of older people, and creating multiple local job opportunities.
Commenting on their recognition, James said:
“We are delighted as we weren’t expecting the award, but we have a good story and have really created something special.
It’s always challenging setting up a business from scratch, but we have done things in the right way and built a loyal following of clients which continues to grow. We constantly get fantastic feedback. That’s a good thing about this business. We really make a difference to people’s lives.”
The Best New Startup Award is not the Stamford based domiciliary care agency’s first achievement, having been crowned Homecare.co.uk’s Top 20 Home Care Provider of the Year for the East MIdlands region in 2020. It is also not Radfield Home Care Franchising’s only recognition in the first few weeks of 2021 either, having also been crowned an Elite Franchise Top 100 opportunities for the fourth year running.
“It has been wonderful to see James and Stefania receive recognition for their hard work and commitment to quality care in the Stamford and Peterborough region. They have developed a fantastic award-winning business, with a great team of care professionals delivering a high quality service to their clients – as their previous Homecare.co.uk Award demonstrates,” franchisor, Dr Hannah MacKechnie explains.
“2021 looks set to be a great year for Radfield and all of our franchise partners. Last year really demonstrated the resilience of our franchise partners’ care businesses, with many continuing to grow despite the challenges of Covid-19. This was recognised by the Elite Franchise 100, but is also being recognised by many people looking to change their careers in 2021, with a surge in enquiries regarding the franchise opportunity across the UK.”
Radfield Home Care specialises in delivering domiciliary care to older people living within their own home. Regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Radfield’s franchise businesses focus on the private, self-funding marketplace. This means they are able to reinvest in high quality health and social care, which is driven by the organisation’s Caring for our Carers™ pledge; providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for care professionals to be able to operate from.
