About Alex
Alex is one of Radfield’s co-founders. Alex and his sister (and Radfield co-founder) Hannah grew up in a residential care home run by their parents in Shrewsbury, instilling a lifelong passion for the power of exceptional care.
Alex moved back to Shropshire in 2008 to establish Radfield Home Care alongside his sister. This continued the legacy started by his parents with the initial founding of Radfield a family run residential care home, but expanding the opportunity to take their approach to care into individual clients’ homes and reach more people by setting up an agency model.
As Alex puts it;
“Care is amazing. We believe care should be about making people feel understood, valued and supported. About enabling them to live their best life for as long as possible. That’s what exceptional care means to us. It’s what we grew up with, how our parents inspired us and now we’re proud to be working with outstanding franchise partners and their teams to take the Radfield standard of care out to the nation.”
Alex lives in Shrewsbury with his family and when he is not working at Radfield, he can often be found helping his daughter to practice her gymnastics routines, walking Juno the spaniel, tending his collection of succulents and trying out new recipes on his wife.
Career background
Prior to setting up Radfield with Hannah, Alex had a career that began with a number of roles in finance, both corporate and retail. Having moved into a number of roles within media companies, including extensive experience in community-focused projects, Alex has also worked as an advisor to technology brands. A passionate believer in the importance of community, Alex still works as a director of a London-based social enterprise providing media training and education to young people.
