We would like to introduce you to Jessica Reed, registered care manager for Radfield Home Care York, Thirsk & Ryedale.
Jessica is responsible for the day to day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led. Jessica is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individuals’ wellbeing at all times.
Jessica began her career in care as a teenager, volunteering at a local care home as part of her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. She enjoyed her time there so much that even after the placement she continued to volunteer until eventually, she became a full-time Care Professional.
Jessica’s drive, determination and love for care, led her to take up as many training courses as she could. Acquiring many sought after qualifications, including; Level 7 in Health Care Management, Medication and First Aid, and Level 2 in Medication, Nutrition & Health, Infection Control, Team Leading & Dementia
Jessica moved from Care Professional to senior care assistant, deputy manager and later, registered care manager. Jessica’s understanding of every level of care makes her perfect for the role of the registered care manager.
“From my days as a volunteer, I have always had a passion for helping others. I want to be able to support elderly people to live their full potential in their own home and be able to create more independence for them so they can still enjoy living a fulfilling lifestyle.”
