About Ed
For six years, Ed’s main employment involved supporting business owners to launch and operate their own home care franchises; now he’s launching his own Radfield Home Care business. Originally studying journalism at university, Ed started his career in public relations and evolved into marketing and sales roles across various industries.
Outside of work, Ed spends a lot of time outdoors; running, cycling and hiking across the North York Moors, Dales and Cleveland Way. In his youth, he competed nationally as a cyclist and today regularly runs ultra-marathons – taking part in local events such as the Hardmoors Race Series.
Ed and his partner, Caroline (who teaches at Ryedale School) live on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors and are looking forward to becoming more engaged in the community as they provide care and create jobs throughout the local area.
Having worked with the Radfield Home Care network for a number of years, Ed is fully committed to the caring values and ethos of the organisation. Ed has seen first-hand that founders, brother & sister Alex & Hannah, are dedicated to empowering care professionals to help people live their best lives. Similarly aligned to these values, Ed aims to provide the same high-quality level of care to the people of York, Thirsk & Ryedale.
