About Matthew
Matthew holds a vast amount of experience in the care sector. After qualifying in 2012 as an Occupational Therapist, he has worked in a variety of community based roles in both the NHS and private sector and more recently has been the manager of Harrogate and Ripon’s community nursing and therapy teams.
Not only is Matthew a health care professional, but he is also a proud husband of a registered nurse. Health care is their family business, and Matthew is not only passionate about providing quality client centred care, but also dedicated to providing a market leading workplace for carers.
Matthew has always been committed and passionate about providing high quality care to individuals, however he is always keen to look at new ways of enhancing and enriching people’s lives and creating memories that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
“A particularly fond memory of mine is about 10 years ago, when I was caring for children and adults with complex learning and physical disabilities. We went for a trek through the woods to the local mud pit for a ‘bath’. What a fantastic experience for our clients, with fun memories they will hold forever!
Over Matthew’s many years of experience, he has never lost this attitude. Providing fun and fulfilling activities for older and more vulnerable people can be quite difficult at times, but he’s always up for the challenge.
“Even having a cup of coffee and good ‘natter’ in the sunshine with a client who rarely ventures outside, can really brighten their day!”
