Kate Button

We would like to introduce you to Kate Button, community engagement officer for Radfield Home Care Harrogate, Wetherby & North Yorkshire. Kate is key in maintaining and developing Radfield’s important relationships in the community.

Kate describes her background prior to joining Radfield and her fantastic approach to building and sustaining essential community connections:

“I have been in the care industry for around 11 years, mainly with young adults with disabilities, most recently as a recruiter, finding fabulous carers to visit our elderly community. I have always worked with people and love to build relationships. Care is very important to me, as we’ll all need it one day!”

“Working within care companies and having older parents has been a great experience, I have had the chance to gain more patience and remain calm in difficult situations! Building relationships with staff and clients and supporting them in various roles has been a wonderful experience and helped me to perceive care in a positive light.”

“I have wanted to use my people skills and build my care experience. I am looking forward to learning more about the care role and engaging with the community to allow people to see that care is changing, and it’s a beautiful role that should be seen in a more positive light. I am hoping to build positive relationships with clients and staff. I have quite a bubbly personality and feel I can build the name of Radfield and allow the community to see that Radfield is the best out there! I have always loved the Theatre and have been a member of a local Drama society, this has encouraged me to go out in the community, do public speaking and meet local communities. I have NVQ’s in People Skills and completed the Care Certificate from previous roles.”
