Director, Matthew Nutting receives prestigious care award

On Saturday 17th November Matthew Nutting, owner, and director of Radfield Harrogate, Wetherby, and North Yorkshire, was overwhelmed when the Great British Care Awards announced Matthew as the winner of ‘The Home Care Registered Manager of the Year Award‘ in the region.

The evening saw 350 of the very best in social care attending a glittering awards ceremony at the National Railway Museum, York for the finals of the Great Yorkshire and Humber Care Awards where the category winners were announced.

The judges explained,

“Matthew showed a real dynamic and driven contribution to the care sector. He demonstrated a high level of service awareness and development. He really goes above and beyond to personally help them, and his drive to want to help people is incredible. Congratulations!”

The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

The awards are made up of twenty-one categories representing all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people or specialist services, residential or home care. From frontline staff such as care workers and care managers to people who have made an impact in other ways such as training and innovation. The awards are all inclusive, bringing together the statutory, independent and voluntary sectors, as well as unpaid carers; promoting joint working. Working in partnership with care partners and local care associations is at the heart of the initiative; working and linking directly with local managers and networks to further promote the event.

Matthew explained,

“What we do day to day doesn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. We only have one goal and that is to try and be a force for positive change not only in the care sector but the community around us. To be able to win an award for doing something that seems the norm and that both myself and the whole team believe in is incredible.”
