On Friday, 7th February, we proudly launched our Community Well-being & Living Well Social Hub at Toby Carvery, Ormskirk. This new initiative is designed to bring together older adults, family carers, and local community members for enriching activities, social events, and essential well-being support.
By creating a welcoming space for conversation, companionship, and guidance, the hub aims to combat loneliness, encourage active living, and provide access to valuable health resources. As a leading provider of personalised home care in Ormskirk, we are committed to helping people remain connected to what matters most, and this monthly hub is an extension of that mission. If you’re looking for things to do for older people in Ormskirk, our hub offers a friendly and engaging environment for meaningful social interaction and well-being support.
We are delighted to be working alongside a fantastic team of community partners, all dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of older adults. Our collaborators include:
With expertise in dementia care, fall prevention, and community well-being, our partners bring invaluable knowledge and resources to support those who attend our monthly gatherings. If you or a loved one require dementia support in Ormskirk, our expert-led sessions provide guidance, advice, and connection to trusted local services.
The launch event was filled with warm conversations, delicious breakfasts, and a true sense of community spirit. Attendees had the chance to meet professionals in dementia care, fall prevention, and community engagement while sharing experiences and support.
Dave Bellis, Director & Business Owner at Radfield Home Care Ormskirk, shared:
Thank you to everyone who joined us today. Radfield Home Care is dedicated to supporting older people and ‘Helping Our Nation Age Well.’ This hub will be a place for socially stimulating activities, well-being community events, dementia awareness, a health and well-being information forum, dementia advisors, a dementia café, and opportunities to stay active as we age.
These gatherings will not only provide a space for social interaction but also ensure that people have access to essential resources that promote independence and well-being. For those seeking family support in Ormskirk, our hub offers a valuable network of professionals and peers who understand the challenges of caregiving.
A huge thank you to the wonderful Toby Carvery Ormskirk team for their fantastic hospitality! We are thrilled to continue this initiative and look forward to welcoming even more people at our next gathering on Friday, 7th March, from 10 AM to 12 PM—and every first Friday of the month thereafter.
