Radfield Home Care Ormskirk celebrated a successful Annual Open Day event on Tuesday 25th March, bringing together the local community, distinguished guests, and valued partners. The event welcomed West Lancashire Mayor, Cllr. Julien Finch, and Mayoress, Cllr. Sarah Lawton, alongside representatives from various local organisations.
The Open Day highlighted Radfield Home Care’s dedication to providing high-quality home care in Ormskirk and surrounding areas, enabling older people to live independently and comfortably in their own homes. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with several local organisations, further enhancing the comprehensive support available for those seeking professional and compassionate care at home in Ormskirk.
Special thanks were given to Sophie and Lynn from Southport Hospital’s Dementia & Delirium Department, the iSight team, Southport Football Club Community Events Manager, Chris, Chantelle and Chris from Alzheimer’s Society, Lathom Physiotherapy Centre, Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy, and Cllr. Janet Ingman. Their ongoing support continues to be invaluable in ensuring a strong network of care within West Lancashire.
One of the standout moments was a heartfelt presentation by Joe Sherville, a Dementia Friends Ambassador and volunteer for Radfield Home Care. Joe shared the success of his latest fundraising initiative, which raised an impressive £1,000 for a dementia support charity close to the hearts of the Radfield team. With the unwavering support of his wife, Sandra, and the Radfield Home Care team, Joe’s fundraising efforts have made a meaningful impact on local dementia care initiatives.
During his speech, Joe also extended his gratitude to Tesco Burscough Community Champion, Hayley, and the store manager for their generous support in making the initiative a success. Their contributions reflect the strong community spirit within Ormskirk and Burscough, reinforcing the importance of collaborative efforts in supporting older people.
