At Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton, we are deeply committed to making a positive impact in our local community. This December, we had the honour of partnering with Joe Sherville, a dedicated Dementia Friends Ambassador, for the annual Elf Day. The event, held at the Tesco store in Burscough, raised essential funds for the Alzheimer’s Society, and we were proud to be part of this festive and meaningful initiative.
National Elf Day is a fundraising event that encourages people to dress up as elves, spread festive cheer, and raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. It’s a fun-filled day of giving with a strong focus on raising awareness for those living with dementia and their families.
The Tesco store in Burscough, under the leadership of the dedicated store manager, was transformed into a holiday wonderland. The elf costumes, festive decorations, and uplifting atmosphere created a sense of community and goodwill. The local community rallied together, offering donations and learning more about the Alzheimer’s Society’s life-changing work. This event truly highlighted the power of community initiatives in Liverpool North, which Radfield Home Care is proud to support.
The funds raised during National Elf Day are used to support the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity that plays a pivotal role in providing care, support, and funding research into dementia. Their work is vital in improving the lives of those affected by dementia, helping them to live with dignity and comfort.
The Alzheimer’s Society is also working tirelessly to create a dementia-friendly society, one where those living with dementia are understood, supported, and cared for. Their efforts are especially significant in areas like Liverpool North & Sefton, where there is a growing need for resources and support for individuals with dementia.
Joe Sherville, a passionate Dementia Friends Ambassador, has been a driving force in raising awareness and funds for dementia. His personal connection to dementia strengthens his commitment to improving the lives of those living with the condition. Joe’s work reflects the same values we hold at Radfield Home Care – making a positive impact and ensuring that no one feels isolated or unsupported in their journey with dementia.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Joe Sherville and the Tesco team in Burscough for their hard work and dedication in supporting such a meaningful cause. The success of National Elf Day is a testament to the power of community, and we are proud to have been part of this day of giving.
