At Radfield Home Care Liverpool & Sefton, we are delighted to introduce a new initiative aimed at bringing together local care homes and older people living independently in our community. Our Bridging Enriched Lifestyles & Living Well Events programme is designed to foster social connections, support healthy ageing, and provide opportunities for joy and companionship—whether someone lives in a care home or in their own home.
As a leading private home care provider in Liverpool North, we champion care that people want as well as need, and we are proud to help our nation age well by keeping people connected to what matters most.
One of the highlights of our new community initiative was this month’s Ladies Day at Toby Carvery Ormskirk, held as part of our monthly Wellbeing & Living Well Social Hub. We welcomed clients, care home residents, family members, and community guests for a cheerful morning of conversation, connection and celebration.
Attendees enjoyed a complimentary Buck’s Fizz breakfast, alongside tea, coffee, and a warm, friendly atmosphere. We were thrilled to see so many people exchanging stories, laughter and encouragement as we explored ways to live well—together—as we age.
Our sincere thanks go to Sophie and the outstanding hospitality team at Toby Carvery in Ormskirk for helping make the event so special. Your care and support make a real difference in the lives of our community’s older people.
We were especially pleased to welcome residents from Courtfield Lodge Care Home in Ormskirk, one of our participating local partners. This kind of collaboration is central to the success of our Bridging Enriched Lifestyles initiative. By encouraging interaction between those living in care homes and individuals supported by home care in Liverpool and Sefton, we help reduce isolation and nurture a sense of community belonging.
As part of our mission to support older people to remain active, connected and independent, we believe that shared experiences, like these events, create positive change—both emotionally and socially.
This initiative is just getting started. We’re excited to be planning a series of summer outings in partnership with Charlton Mini Coaches, including trips to Southport, New Brighton, and local restaurants and hotels. These will be open to our clients, their families, care home residents, and members of the wider community who wish to join us.
Full details will be shared on the Radfield Home Care Liverpool & Sefton Facebook page next month, including dates, pick-up points and timings. We encourage everyone to get involved!
Dave Bellis, owner of Radfield Home Care Liverpool & Sefton, commented:
“As a home care provider, we are dedicated to support older people who are living at home in the community. This latest initiative supporting care homes with community events, is putting people first in the adult social care sector, this is part of our Be There ethos.”
Our Care Professionals are at the heart of everything we do. With their support, our clients can continue living independently, staying safe, well, and connected to their local community.
