Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton Becomes Dementia Friends Champion

Promoting Dementia Awareness in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk

Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton is proud to announce its recognition as a Dementia Friends Champion, further enhancing our commitment to providing compassionate and informed care for individuals living with dementia. This achievement is a testament to our dedication to offering dementia support in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk while fostering dementia-friendly communities across the region.

On 26th November, we hosted a Dementia Friends session at our office, led by Joe Sherville, a passionate Dementia Friends Ambassador. The session brought together our Care Professionals, office staff, and management team to explore the realities of living with dementia. Through engaging discussions and practical guidance, we aimed to deepen our understanding of dementia and how we can better support individuals and families in our local communities.

Strengthening Our Commitment to Person-Centred Care in Liverpool and Sefton

At Radfield Home Care, we have always been a champion for care that people want as well as need. Our commitment to delivering person-centred care is the cornerstone of our mission to help individuals age well, staying connected to what matters most to them. The Dementia Friends session allowed us to enhance our knowledge and further our dedication to providing dementia support in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk.

By officially becoming Dementia Friends, our team has joined a nationwide initiative to create dementia-friendly communities. As part of this initiative, we continue to provide dementia support for families in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk, ensuring that both clients and their loved ones have access to the best care possible.

Alex Green, Managing Director of Radfield Home Care, shared:

“At Radfield, we have been caring for people living with dementia for 42 years. It is vital for those people in caring roles to know what support is available to them, and so it is brilliant to see Dave and the team in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk bring more support, knowledge and understanding to their community.”

Extending Support to Families in Liverpool, Sefton and Ormskirk

In January, Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton will extend dementia support for families in Liverpool, Sefton, and Ormskirk by offering Dementia Friends sessions to relatives of our clients. Recognising the important role families play in the lives of individuals living with dementia, these sessions will equip them with the knowledge and tools necessary to understand the condition better.

Our goal is to ensure that families are empowered with information that strengthens their ability to support their loved ones. By offering practical tips and advice, we hope to enhance the quality of life for both clients and their families, ensuring that connections remain strong, even in the face of dementia.

Dave Bellis, Director of Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton, said:

“The feedback from our staff has been fantastic, and we’re thrilled to share this opportunity with families. Together, we can enhance the daily lives of those affected and provide care that truly makes a difference.”

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Joe Sherville for his inspiring leadership during the Dementia Friends session.
