The festive season is a time to celebrate, connect, and share kindness. This year, the Woodvale and Ainsdale Association truly embodied these values by hosting a magical Christmas lunch. Supported by Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton, alongside other generous community sponsors, the event highlighted the remarkable power of giving and the strength of community spirit.
Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton was honoured to sponsor this special occasion, which featured a delicious three-course Christmas meal and festive treats for all attendees. We were delighted to add some extra holiday cheer by providing mince pies, Christmas crackers, and thoughtful gifts, including an afternoon tea for two at the prestigious Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.
These thoughtful gestures were part of our Living Well Community initiative, a programme focused on fostering joy, connection, and well being throughout the festive season. Another highlight was the generosity of Grace at the Grand Hotel in Southport, who donated an additional afternoon tea through our Well-Being Connections programme, enhancing the festive spirit even further.
One of the event’s most enchanting moments came from the beautiful harp performance by Susan Lambert. Her soothing melodies created an unforgettable, warm atmosphere, making the day truly special. We are immensely grateful to Susan for sharing her extraordinary talent and bringing so much joy to the occasion.
The event also featured a heartwarming visit from local school children who performed traditional Christmas carols. Their cheerful singing and meaningful interactions with attendees created a bridge between generations, spreading festive joy and reminding everyone of the value of connection and inclusivity.
The success of the Christmas lunch was made possible by the dedication of the Woodvale and Ainsdale Association’s incredible volunteers and staff. Their unwavering commitment to supporting older people and fostering a sense of belonging is truly inspiring. By providing a warm and welcoming environment, they ensure that everyone feels connected, valued, and supported.
