Meet Brian, he’s been a client at our Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern office for a while now and we make sure he’s looked after like family.
Brian needs some assistance with showering and taking his medication, which can be difficult as an older person if you’re living on your own. Personal care can be a delicate subject and entrusting it to others isn’t always easy. Our Care Professionals fully understand the sensitivities and responsibilities that come with personal care, they are always professional, friendly and approachable. Enter, Jadyn.
Jadyn joined our team in April 2022 and has been helping change Brian’s life with every care visit. The pair have built a fantastic bond during their time together, often described in the office as a pair of troublemakers!
Jadyn is well liked by his clients, he’s always happy and nothing is too much of an ask for him. He’s kind, driven and always willing to go the extra mile to help. It’s people like Jadyn that are out in the field changing lives every day.
Brian always looks forward to seeing Jadyn. Loneliness is common among older people, especially after lockdown and for some, care visits might be the only interaction they have with someone that day. It’s important for us to make sure that every interaction is personable and meaningful to provide the best possible service for our clients. We believe even the smallest positive gesture can help change someone’s life.
Brian said:
“The Care Professionals are absolutely amazing, I particularly have a great bond with Jadyn as he really does go above and beyond his general duties. He even goes to the shop to get my newspaper for me, it’s the little things that really make all the difference! I have assistance with having a shower and support with taking my medication too.
The Care Professional’s always chat to me throughout their visit which I love as I live on my own, the interaction is so important to me. They are always on time which is important to me as I look forward to them coming.”
Accepting care can sometimes be a difficult decision to make. Brian came to us after deciding he needed some help at home. We understand the challenges facing older people and pride ourselves on our customer service.
“I was searching for a home care company to support me and I made quite a few telephone calls before I made the decision to go with Radfield Home Care. I chose them because they were local to where I lived and seemed extremely professional. I know that I can always call the office if I need to discuss any of my care needs which I find very comforting.”
At our heart, we are a family business that cares. Not just care for our clients, but care for our Care Professionals too. We created our ‘Caring for our Carers™ Pledge’ with this in mind:
Jadyn tells us:
“My job is very rewarding. I really respect our clients and try my best to bond with each of them. I do go above and beyond always asking clients if there is anything further to assist them, it may be something small but it really matters to them!”
Jadyn aspires to become a Field Care Supervisor once he’s obtained the required qualifications. We encourage and support all of our family of Care Professionals to strive for excellence and progress in their careers.
“My advice to any new Carer joining our team would be to always ask for advice and help. Everyone in the team is always willing to help and support each other.“
