Care Professional Carol fits work around her busy family schedule.

Carol is a Worcesterite through and through. She’s lived in Worcester all of her life and during that time she’s had the pleasure of raising five children and becoming a grandmother. Carol is proud to be a mum and grandmother, but with the ages ranging from 11 to 30 years old, she needs a job that fits around her busy family life. That’s where care comes in. 

The role of Care Professional allows for a lot of flexibility, giving Carol the chance to fit work around her lifestyle. This means she can be there for the kids when they need her, but also get out and about, helping older people in the local community. 

A role that gets you out and about with clients that appreciate you

Carol has recently joined our team as a Care Professional and currently walks to her client visits which she says keeps her really fit:

“The role has really given me a spring in my step. I prefer home care as you get to support the client in the comfort of their own home and one-to-one so you can form a good relationship with them. I like being able to give extra support to clients. Sometimes I’ll take one client out for coffee, this makes such a difference to her mood as she doesn’t get out that much and she really appreciates it.”

Carol loves spending time with her family; swimming, going out for meals together and sometimes just relaxing while she knits away. For people that love spending time with their family, the role of Care Professional suits them perfectly. In Carol’s case, she can give her availability and set up her hours to suit her busy family schedule.

From cleaning to caring, the perfect career swap

“Before joining Radfield I owned my own cleaning business. Once I became a Care Professional I realised how much I loved to care for people and it gave me so much more job satisfaction than I had running the cleaning business. I was so happy to have made the decision to swap careers.”

It was Carol’s friend, Jane, that introduced her to Radfield. Jane is another of our Care Professionals and she was so happy with her job that she brought Carol on board too! Jane has been with us for roughly a year and it’s an amazing feeling knowing that our team is out there spreading the word. 

Carol’s a natural go-getter and she’s working towards progressing her career further and becoming a field care supervisor. 

“When I joined the company, the training and support I received really helped me to fully understand the role and carry out duties to the highest standard. I’ve had lots of ongoing support from the office team and feel very much part of the Radfield family. The best bit of being part of Radfield is that the whole company is ‘people-centred’ which I’m really proud to be a part of.”
