The Radfield Home Care Loughborough, Charnwood & Melton Mowbray team came together to celebrate the season on November 19. The office team, Care Professionals and several partners met up at the Jam Garden pub to relax and build upon relationships, bringing the team closer together.
Tomiwa Wadood Agbongbon, a Care Professional in the Loughborough team said:
“It was great to meet the wider team especially because the main part of the job involves lone working so putting faces to names was nice. The environment was very relaxed and we felt so comfortable and it provided a form of escapism from everyday work and study life. In fact this was the first work social I have ever been to, which made me feel included as part of the family vibes. Based on this alone I have been telling my friends about working for Radfield and have people interested in applying.”
’Tis the season to be kind and Be There for one another. At Radfield Home Care, we are committed to Be There for our teams and our clients, supporting them to be themselves, be connected, and be inspired. Small things, like a Christmas party, give us the opportunity to become closer and more supportive for one another.
At the Loughborough office, we have set out to build a work-family culture through events like these. Overall this event was definitely a success because morale was at a high, people interacted well with each other and after we got the first round, many more were bought deep into the night.
The atmosphere was buzzing with no drama or work talk, this was a chance for us all to let our hair down and simply get to know one another. Everyone was laughing and joking with each other and seemed in high spirits and it gave us all something to look back and talk about.
Observing this throughout the night gave a sense of achievement especially after thinking back to when we first started not long ago when I, Akash, was alone in the office looking for staff to get the business off the ground. Now, we are a supportive unit where everyone has somebody they can turn to. We look forward to delivering years of life-changing care to people in our surrounding communities.
We know that our wonderful Care Professionals are at the heart of the quality care we provide. Because of this, we committed to our ‘Caring for our Carers™ Pledge’. In this pledge, we promise to:
