Recognising excellence in home care service, Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry’s Business Development Manager, Karen Corcoran has been shortlisted for the coveted Rising Star award in the prestigious Laing Buisson Awards 2023.
Karen Corcoran’s impact on the home care sector has been notably transformative. Synonymous with the laudable determination and tireless work ethic, Karen’s dedication to home care in Shrewsbury and across Shropshire has positioned her as a beacon of change for her clients and the wider community.
On May 18, 2023, Karen arranged a free-entry Dementia Support Information Day for the county of Shropshire. Held at Shrewsbury Town Football Club in Dementia Action Week, Karen brought together over 30 organisations to share dementia and Alzheimer’s resources, information and support groups with the public.
In response to the news about being nominated, Karen said: “I am made up about being named as a Laing Buisson finalist. I do this to help people in Shrewsbury and Shropshire access those vital support services and resources that are too easily missed. Seeing clients, friends, and family’s lives transform thanks to dementia support services and our community partners is the most rewarding thing for me.”
The Laing Buisson Awards recognise and celebrate industry excellence across several care sectors, promoting the valuable contributions individuals like Karen make in our communities.
