Celebrating two victories at the Great British Care Awards

At Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry we are delighted to have secured two grand title wins at the West Midlands Regional Finals of the Great British Care Awards. The ceremony took place on 4th November at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham, and it serves to celebrate champions of exceptional home care in the UK.

Recognition for our outstanding home Care Professional

The entire team at Radfield Home Care Shrewsbury & Oswestry takes great pleasure in celebrating the prestigious ‘Home Care Worker of the Year’ award received by Richard Cox, a deeply valued Care Professional of our team. Expressing his gratitude over the award, Richard shared:

“It was a delightfully unexpected honour to win the Home Care Worker award. This recognition is also a testament to the incredible colleagues I work with, and I sincerely hope it gives them all a well-deserved boost. My aspiration is to inspire more individuals to consider a career in care, regardless of their prior experience or background.”

Applause for recruitment excellence

Our Recruitment Manager, Lewis Collins, was recognised for his outstanding dedication to recruitment standards and team support by clinching the esteemed Recruitment, Retention & Recognition award, also colloquially known as the ‘Three R’s.’ Speaking of his accomplishment, Lewis said:

“Being able to implement a recruitment process prioritising values, quality over quantity has been a rewarding journey in my two years with Radfield. This approach has enabled our team to grow, diversify, and importantly, retain deserving Care Professionals. Having this diligent effort recognised at the Great British Care Awards is a privilege.”

Acknowledging our exceptional Shrewsbury home care team

The Radfield Shrewsbury & Oswestry team also had the honour of being shortlisted as finalists in the “Home Care Team of the Year” category. We commend the sheer teamwork and dedication that radiates from our team, and it was this unbeatable spirit that led us to the nomination.
Our Registered Care Manager, Sonya Cole, highlighted the pivotal role of teamwork in earning these esteemed recognitions. Sonya was not only a driving force behind our success but also was bestowed the rare honour of being invited to judge award entries for other regions in the Great British Care Awards.
