Bringing the young and less young together!

Radfield Home Care were proud sponsors of an Age UK event held in Shrewsbury to bring together local children and older people for an afternoon tea party with entertainment held at Shrewsbury School. 50 older members of the community and 50 under 13’s were invited to attend in order to raise awareness about the importance and the benefits of living in an age-friendly society.

It was a fantastic afternoon with endless cups of tea flowing, beautiful cakes, children from St George’s Junior School’s choir singing, string quartet, inspiring talks, dancing, biscuit decorating, a reminiscence table which was a real hit with the children fascinated by square tennis racquets and many other items! And mainly it was a wonderful opportunity for people to just have a good old natter with other people of all ages and all backgrounds.
