About Joanne
We would like to introduce you to Joanne Lewis, Care Manager for Radfield Home Care Bedford & Ampthill. Joanne is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office and ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led.
Joanne worked in a children’s residential home for 4 years followed by working in a hospital for mental health with adults for 2 years. She then spent 2 years in supported living services for all ages, and then a further 4 years in a joint supported living and residential setting focused on autism and challenging behaviour for adults over 18. Joanne soon moved into operations management for 2 years in a hospital mental health setting and the NHS, where she managed a team from various companies to support the elderly in their homes.
Joanne shares some thoughts on her experience in the sector:
“My previous role involved providing equipment and assistance to help the elderly remain at home instead of in care. I have managed teams, including one with over 200 people, and having started as a carer, I understand the job’s stresses and strive to promote a good work-life balance.”
With her team management experience and many roles she has had in the care sector, Joanne can confidently and effectively provide care in the community for those needing assistance.
