This new initiative provides a safe, engaging, and welcoming space for older people in the local community, offering free taster sessions to those interested in experiencing the service firsthand.
The Watford Day Care Centre is designed to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well being. Visitors will enjoy a structured programme of chair exercises, crafts, bingo, and other engaging activities, all tailored to support both physical and cognitive health. Attendees can also benefit from nutritious hot meals in a friendly and comfortable setting, ensuring a fulfilling and enjoyable experience.
Leading the centre is Georgina Laird, a well-known local activities expert recognised for her work in promoting healthy living among older people. Georgina has extensive experience in leading chair-based exercise classes, helping older adults maintain mobility and independence.
Additionally, those who require personalised care can arrange a bespoke care plan with Care Manager Natasha Marsh. This ensures that visitors receive tailored support suited to their individual needs, making the Adult Day Care Centre an ideal solution for both social and care-based requirements.
The launch of this Adult Day Care service is set to bring growth and employment to the local community. Over the next year, Radfield Home Care Watford & Borehamwood expects to create five new job roles, including positions for Care Professionals and office-based staff.
