About Karen

Karen is Radfield Home Care Stamford, Peterborough and Rutland’s care coordinator and is passionate about nurturing Radfield’s growing team to deliver exceptional care. Karen is responsible for the creation and management of the rotas for clients and carers, liaising with clients, families and professionals to manage care needs and staff deployment and supporting the registered manager with the safe running of the office.

She regularly goes above and beyond expectations, leading to her winning the team’s ‘Extra Mile Award’. Her personality, commitment and transferable skills from previous roles have all contributed towards her becoming a great Care Supervisor. Karen strongly believes that nurturing a care team has the biggest impact on client care.

“Before moving into care, I spent 10 years owning and running the Stamford Cheese & Wine Cellar. I decided it was time to move on and to give something back to my local community by helping and supporting older people to remain independent in their own homes. I started out with another care company, but after my interview with Radfield Home Care I was struck by how they genuinely care about their clients and their staff. Since joining them, my journey in care really has taken off. I gained my NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care, became a Senior Care Professional and have recently been promoted to Care Coordinator.”
