Radfield Involvement In Our Community

We are extremely proud to be the first and only company in the UK healthcare sector to gain the prestigious B CorpTM certification and we continually demonstrate our commitment to ethical business and have legally pledged to look after our people and the environment.

The criteria for certification is a comprehensive & exhaustive investigation and the evaluation includes governance impact, evaluating a company’s overall mission, ethics, accountability and transparency. It looks in detail at the company’s contribution to employee well being, community involvement, charitable giving and diversity and inclusion, all of which are highly valued within Radfield Home Care.

As part of our ongoing ‘community involvement’ campaign, Radfield Home Care Havering & Brentwood are proud to be part of the Havering Dementia Action Alliance Dementia Action Alliance and Dementia Friends.

Havering has the largest population of people aged 65 and over out of all the London Boroughs, and figures indicate that there are nearly 3,050 people living with dementia in the Borough. We are passionate about supporting and optimising the health and well-being of people living with Dementia. As a result, we have joined the Dementia Action Alliance and take an active role in the community to support the Alliance’s aim.

“To bring about a society-wide response to dementia. It encourages and supports communities and organisations across England to take practical actions to enable people to live well with dementia and reduce the risk of costly crisis intervention.”

It is the aim of the Havering Dementia Action Alliance to make the lives of those people and their carers better. By encouraging all areas of the community to make simple changes, the hope and aim is to remove the difficulties being experienced in everyday life by people with dementia and their carers.

A dementia-friendly community is a city, town or village where people with dementia are understood, respected and supported and confident they can contribute to community life.
