We would like to introduce you to Brenda Harper, registered care manager for Radfield Home Care Chingford & Loughton. Brenda is responsible for the day to day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well led. Brenda is the key point of contact for carers, clients and their families and promotes individual’s wellbeing at all times.
Brenda details her background within the care sector:
“I was a registered manager at a live-in care company for almost 4 years, a live-in care manager for a home care company for 2 months and a support worker for learning difficulties in North London for 3 years.
I was a domiciliary care worker for a care company when they asked me to help out. I was a senior carer at a care home for 2 years and also a domiciliary care worker for a nursing agency for almost 2 years.”
Her experience really provides the Chingford office with the types of skills and empathy required to provide excellent care:
“It has given me a varied insight into the different needs that people may have. It has made me more empathetic to situations and it has taught me to be proactive in most situations thus avoiding more serious situations in the future.
I enjoy helping people. I love the interaction of meeting and assisting people and knowing that it makes a difference to them and their families lives. I have worked in a few different care sectors and I hope that my varied experience will enable me to assist with any of Radfield Home Care’s client’s care needs.
I completed The Care Certificate previously. I have also been in a managerial office role for 4 years. I have current experience carrying out care work in my local community.”
