We are proud to announce that Radfield Home Care Bromley, Orpington & Beckenham has been honoured with the Corporate Volunteer Team Award at the recent Volunteer Awards Ceremony hosted by Community Links Bromley. This recognition highlights our commitment to making a positive impact in our community and showcases the dedication of our exceptional Care Professionals. Our involvement in Bromley volunteer opportunities is a key aspect of our approach to care.
The awards ceremony took place on Thursday, 26th September 2024, at the United Reform Church in Bromley. The event was graced by the presence of the Mayor of Bromley, Dr David Jeffreys, and the Mayoress, who acknowledged the invaluable contributions of volunteers across the borough. The award was presented to our team by Lauretta Wright, the editor of Life in Bromley, Orpington & Beckenham magazines, who read a heartfelt citation during the presentation.
Lauretta noted, “The Radfield Home Care team’s volunteer efforts have made a huge impact in our borough. They’ve created a safe and welcoming space that connects a diverse group through various activities. Their efforts have not only highlighted Bromley’s rich arts scene but have led to collaborations with local businesses and artists. For example, an artist from a self-portrait class was later invited to create a mural for Community House. Simi and Chanice ensure the café is a friendly and inclusive environment, personally engaging with each attendee. While they inform people about their services, there’s no pressure—Radfield’s focus is on volunteering to improve lives in Bromley, which aligns with their core business values.”
This citation encapsulates our mission to provide home care in Bromley that people want as well as need, fostering connections within the community. We believe that creating a welcoming environment is essential for supporting those we serve, and we are thrilled that our efforts have been recognised in this way.
Faye Millen, Volunteer Development Manager for Community Links Bromley, expressed her joy at our achievement, stating, “This recognition is a testament to your hard work, dedication, and the positive impact you’ve made in our community.”
