Kim Rubens

Care Manager

We would like to introduce you to Kim Rubens, Care Manager for Radfield Home Care Guildford & Woking. Kim is responsible for the day-to-day running of the office in line with CQC regulations and also for ensuring that the service is safe, caring, responsive, effective and well-led.

Kim Rubens has been an integral part of the adult care sector since February 2019. She began her career as a support worker at a day centre for adults with special needs. During the pandemic, she was redeployed to the company’s largest nursing home, where she developed expertise in caring for individuals with complex needs, including PEG feeding, epilepsy response, and brain injury recovery.

Her adaptability was further showcased when she was asked to return to the day centre to design and build a sensory garden, leveraging her previous experience as a horticultural specialist. This project, along with her dedication, led to her promotion to Field Supervisor, overseeing both the day centre and supported living schemes in Guildford.

Seeking to advance her career, Kim took on the role of Deputy Manager at a new company, where she deepened her understanding of domiciliary care and supported living for elderly clients and those with learning disabilities. Her journey continued as a Care Manager, managing domiciliary care for adults with learning disabilities in a block of 10 flats.

Now a valued member of Radfield, Kim’s experience and passion for care are key assets. She holds a Level 3 qualification in Medication Management, a Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and is working towards her Level 5 in Leadership and Management. Kim is committed to leading her team with compassion and striving to improve the lives and well-being of those in care.
