The Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port care team have come together to celebrate their CQC (Care Quality Commission) Outstanding rating and glowing report.
The report rated the care service as Outstanding overall, the highest possible rating, the office also earned outstanding ratings for how Caring and how Responsive the service is. In the report, one client said:
“All the carers are lovely, so helpful. They are all so kind and caring and nothing is too much trouble.”
The CQC is the independent regulator of care services for older people in England, ensuring that residential care homes, nursing care facilities, and home care providers are providing a service that meets fundamental standards for quality and safety.
To celebrate the team’s achievement, Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port Directors & Owners, Julie & Kevin Scott hosted a garden party for the office. The team enjoyed a relaxing evening in the sun with food and the odd glass of well-earned champagne, sent over from the National Office. The team also welcomed David Featherstone to the evening, Mr Featherstone is an experienced training professional who provided practical care training to the team, helping them achieve their Outstanding rating.
Commending the team, Director Julie Scott, said:
“This was an occasion to be celebrated. I am so proud of the whole team and myself for achieving this CQC result. Everyone goes above and beyond every day to always be there for our clients and enhance their lives in any way possible.”
The CQC report provides valuable insight into what it is like to receive care from Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port. One client said: “Staff know what they are doing, they know when I need assistance and when to let me do things by myself. I cannot fault them.”
In one example, the team provided a bespoke and highly flexible end-of-life care package with a small team of Care Professionals. Commenting about the service, a family member said: “Words cannot describe how happy we’ve been with every aspect of care. We never imagined it could be so good and so fitting.”

Along with speaking to clients and their families, the CQC inspector sat down with Care Professionals to ask them about what it is like to work at Radfield Home Care Chester & Ellesmere Port.
One employee said: “The management team always listen and are so approachable and helpful.” The staff went on to shower the management team with praise in the report, calling them “amazingly supportive”, and “very responsive” and that they make you “feel really valued.”
