Radfield Home Care Become Dementia Champions

Radfield Home Care director, Samuel Holmes and senior carer Jessica Ager have recently become Dementia Friends Champions. The initiative is run by the Alzheimer’s Society and both Samuel and Jessica have pledged to make a positive difference to local people living with dementia by holding information sessions across Bexhill, Hastings & Battle.

Samuel commented,

“Radfield Home Care is supporting the initiative as we know people living with dementia can become isolated and afraid to go out if they do not feel the challenges they face are understood by others. Raising awareness enables people to become involved in community life and live as well as possible with the disease.”

Jessica added,

“Anyone who attends one of our information sessions will be given the opportunity to learn a little bit more about what it’s like to live with dementia and turn the understandings they have gained into an action. This can be anything from spending more time with a relative living with dementia to spreading the word through social media.”
